Notes on
The Deliverance Machine

for solo violoncello (or viola) and electronics
8 minutes

Commissioned by the International Contemporary Ensemble

As of late, my music has been investigating the parallels between literary genres and musical form. This work, Notes on The Deliverance Machine, is a set of imagined working notes, observations, experiments, sketches and formulae for the device of the same name invented (and briefly used in the late 1990's) by Australian medical doctor Philip Nitschke.
